I'm Better Than My Genes Project

The "I'm Better Than My Genes" Project (IBTMG) involves taking in dogs with fairs or poors in their genetics, leveling them up to their full potential, never breeding them, and letting them retire at age 101. The goal of this is to improve the overall stats of the breed (percentage of dogs over level 1), but not adding the fairs and poors to the gene pool. "I'm Better Than My Genes" started on FP Beta. There was a way in Beta to find the percentage of dogs over level 1, and for most breeds, the percentages were dismal. I wanted to help. I noticed many dogs ending up not getting sold from my rescue were those with fairs in their genetics, because no one wanted to mix those genes into their lines. So, I decided to combine these two projects--originally neutering or spaying the dogs in this project so that they could not be bred, but entering them in as many competitions as I could every day, giving them level and sport-appropriate food and accessories, and just letting them be the best they can be. Here, without neutering or spaying ensuring that these dogs are not bred, they will never leave my kennel once entered into my IBTMG project. They will be cared for and entered into competitions every day, or otherwise locked. At age 101, when they've lived a full life, they will be retired and commemorated with name, breed, breed rank, and level at retirement.

Pixelated Pets Rescue

Pixelated Pets Rescue (PiPR) was the first rescue I made on FP Beta. The rules have been updated a bit since then, and since the start of my IBTMG program. Now, dogs will only be adopted out if they have Good or better in their genes (those with Fairs or Poors will be entered into my IBTMG program instead), and dogs will only be available for adoption once they reach level 10. Further rules will be posted as I update everything.

In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort. It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle. In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit.
