Old Memories, New Experiences

Don't forget where you came from, but don't let it drag you down. Let go of past hurts, and move on to better things. Don’t let anyone tell you what you can be or who you are. You do you, pal.

Introduction

Hello! My name is Alexa and I love FP! However I work a lot and don't have time to play as often as I'd like, so when I do play I try to play as minimally as I can 'cause I get burnt out easily. My ADHD allows me to hyperfocus for a while, but I usually can't hold that level of interest for too long. I love dogs, I currently have a little Chihuahua named Tiki and a big German Shepherd Dog named Chief. My first job was actually inspired by dogs; when I was 8 I organized my own dog walking business (I made little shirts and everything, lol). It wasn't super official, but I did have 3-4 regular clients who kept me coming 2-3 times a week to walk their dogs for a few dollars a week. I kept that business going until I was 13, and got too busy with school and life to continue. I do dog-sit/house-sit frequently for neighbors and family, currently. I have been playing on and off again for over a decade, and I love how this game keeps improving and growing. My social anxiety is real bad, so while I will almost always accept a friend request, I probably won't say much. Any ways, enough about me, here are my dogs!

My Dogs

An introduction to my dogs and how I organize them. I am a very messy person, but some things I HAVE to organize. FP is one of those things.

1- Sports: My dogs are organized according to Breed Sport; meaning every breed is assigned to a specific sport. I look at the top skills that breed has, and match it to a sport that I feel fits the breed. It can be a little lopsided because some sports (Herding, Schutzhund, etc.) will have TONS of breeds while others (Sledding, Water Work, etc.) will only have a few, but oh well.

2- Breeding/Retirement: I am not super worried about genetics, I would like to see all my dogs have a continuing bloodline, so I try to work them in wherever I can. That being said, I will try not breed an all EEEE dog with anything less. I do want good genetics, I just also want all of my dogs to be accounted for.

3- Collecting: Hoarding things is a habit of mine so I am trying to collect pretty much everything you can in the game. (Dogs, critters, special items, etc. You name it, I'm trying to get it!) That helps because I’m a completionist so I want to get all the FP achievements too.

4- Rescuing: I am a sucker and feel sympathy for fictional characters/people/animals at the drop of a hat. Therefore I try to adopt as many dogs as I can from the Humane Society and "rehabilitate" them by cleaning them up and then sorting them into their respective kennels. I will also browse the dogs for sale every once in a while and see what I can find. Dogs that are in really bad condition I will usually buy as long as they are not too expensive. (I do not judge people who "abandon" their dogs or allow their conditions to get low on FP, IT IS JUST A GAME, I myself am just extremely soft.)

5- Naming: I try to keep some semblance of my "rescued" or purchased dogs original name, and I use this format: Callname = Nickname (Sue, Bobby, Rocket, etc.) and Fullname = Song Title, Phrase, or Idiom (Two Steps Forward - One Step Back, Another One Bites The Dust, etc.). If the Callname or Fullname fits my formula I will keep it and figure out something for the other name. If both names work, I keep it!

6- Mascots & Old Friends: One of my Kennels is labeled “Mascots”, it is filled with dogs that represent a real dog from my life. Ranging from clients dogs I walked as a kid, to my own current dogs and everything in between! Any dog with a (MAS.) next to their name is a Mascot, dogs without a (MAS.) are partners to be bred to my Mascots to try to get a closer match. Some of the Mascots don’t have the correct coat/prefix or aren't EEEE etc. so it will take me a while to get a near-perfect match. A lot of the dogs I care about are mutts/mixed breeds so I picked either one of the dog breeds in their genetics or just a dog that looked like them. I also have a Critter Pasture labeled “Old Friends”, which is full of past and current pets and pets of close relatives/clients. More info (what I can remember) about the individual Mascots and pets below!

And that's about it! Without further ado, here are my dogs!

Mascots, Stars, and Heroes & Old Friends

I have a kennel named "Mascots, Stars, and Heroes" and a Critter Pasture named "Old Friends". These animals all are important to me in some way. I don't have all of them yet, I'm still working on them so dogs may be mentioned here that I don't have yet. Dogs have their description (Mascots - how I knew them and their personality, Stars - what media they're from, Heroes - their heroic actions) in the Description section on their page, Critters have their description here.

Mascots and Old Friends are animals I either owned/or took care of in real life. If they were mutts/mixed breed I chose a dog breed I knew was in their lineage, or a breed that looked similar enough. They are listed here by the Dogs first (in no particular order other than dogs that were owned by the same owner are grouped together) and then Critters (in the order they appear in the Critter Pasture). Mascots will have "-Mascot" at the end of their fullname.

Stars are famous (usually fictitious) dogs from popular media, or media that influenced me as a child. They are listed here alphabetically. Stars will have a "*" star before and after their fullname.

Heroes are real life dogs that became famous through their heroic deeds. They are listed here alphabetically. Heroes will have a "-Hero" at the end of their fullname.

Mascots:

Prego - "Delicious Pasta" - Central Asian Shepherd

Chevy - "Sweet Chevrolet" - Central Asian Shepherd

Jackie - "Beautiful Self-Portrait" - Central Asian Shepherd

Maya - "Ancient Mayan Calendar" - Basset Hound

Maddie - "Brave Little Madeline" - Basset Hound

Gucci - "Expensive Silken Purse" - Basset Hound

Max - "Gladius Maximus" - Basset Hound

Monty - "Good Ol' Cousin Monty" - Basset Hound

Magic - "Magic In The Air" - Basset Hound

Harry - "The Great Harry Houdini" - Border Terrier

Bear - "Grizzly Attack" - Border Terrier

Lily - "Among The Lilies" - Brittany

Dixie - "Southern Belle" - Brittany

Tiki - "In The Tiki Room" - Chihuahua

Chief - "Captain Of The Guard" - German Shepherd Dog

Felix - "Swirling Vortex" - Maltese

Stars:

Bolt - "Super Bark" - American White Shepherd

Heroes:

Laika - "Among the Stars" - Russell Terrier

Old Friends:

Willow - Rescue Tuxedo Cat - He chose us one day, just walked up and invited himself inside. He had no tags or chip, and nobody every came looking for him. He was my childhood cat, and my best friend. He lived with us for about 15 or 16 years and reached 18 years old. He loved picking fights, and over the years picked up many battle scars; tattered ears, a scarred eye, and chipped teeth. He would walk me around the neighborhood, and invite himself over to the neighbors homes.
