Welcome to Gallifreyan Dragon Kennels! GDK is the proud home to many Bernese Mountain Dogs. Why don't you take a look? I have also recently imported dogs to start lines in Great Pyrenees, Cardigan Welsh Corgi, and Old English Sheepdog.




Kennel Layout
-Allons-y
-------All "adult/mature" BDM dogs go here. Gallifreyan Dragon Kennels considers its dogs mature when they reach level 20. As of 26Nov13, no dog will be bred before level 20, no matter the age. (Exceptions may be made in extenuating circumstances.)

-Pups
-------All dogs under level 20 will be places here. This is to aid in organization and prevent accidental breedings of unmature dogs.

-Sheepdogs
-------Adult OES go here.

-Corgies
-------Adult CWC go here.
-------Alongside the 24HH/lala genetic goal, GDK corgis will be bred for piebald. Currently there are three piebald-carrier corgis in the GD Kennels (1 male, 2 female).

-Great Pyrs
-------Adult Great Pyrenees go here.

-Greener Pastures
-------All dogs with the prefix TRDIS, but deemed unbreedable (for whatever reason) will be placed here. Unless a separate kennel is created, dogs locked at 99 and 100 days will be kept here as well.




General Kennel Guidelines
-Priorities
-------GDK dogs will be bred for 24 HH qualities first and foremost. Secondary preference is for lala traits followed by intint/intint. No puppies with Fair or Poor qualities will be kept, regardless of other traits.
-------While in early stages of breeding program (such as with the GP, OES, and CWC lines), the GDK level 20 breeding rule may be exempted. This will be on a case-by-case basis and every effort will be made to prevent GDK dogs from being bred before level 20.
-------Until the GDK lines are better established, there will be no limit to the number of times a dog is bred in his or her life. Every effort will be made to keep the number limited, but while in the testing stages to find the best match exceptions can and will be made. (Note: As of 26Feb15, BMD females will only be bred twice.)
-------Outside dogs will be bred to GDK dogs on occasion to prevent inbreeding.
-------Until at least 20 HH (if not 24 HH) traits are attained and steadily kept, GDK dogs will not be offered to the public (either for sale or for breeding).


Note: If contacted, GDK dogs may be made available to the public before 20 or 24 HH traits are attained and steadily kept. Exceptions will be made on case-by-case basis, and are not a guarantee that further or continuing exceptions will be made.
