Italian Greyhounds

The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black has produced 20 generations of Italian Greyhounds since 2004. The kennel is named after the Black Family in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series because Sirius Black is SilGathien's favourite character from the novels.

All Italian Greyhounds produced in the kennel bear the prefix 4461 and the suffix 'di Nero', which is the Italian for 'of Black'. I do not breed outside my own lines, although I do produce and breed dogs in conjunction with Dragonfyre #4936 at BlackAsh Kennel. Her prefix is ASHK and we usually end up having dogs with crazy numbers of prefixes and suffixes.

Italian Greyhounds are bred for agility (x4), litter size (lala), and health. They show aptitude in Frisbee or Flyball, and are not bred for colour.

SilGathien

SilGathien is a 27 year old British female with a PhD in Medieval Literature at Cardiff University. Her pseudonym is (apparently) a translation of her actual name into Elvish from J. R. R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy. She spends time on FP to avoid real life, and she also has two horses, a dog, two cats, and is still slightly obsessed by penguins.
