Field of Dreams- Other Breeds

Welcome to Field of Dreams kennel, where I am striving to produce the best Shelties and Rough Collies on Furry-Paws. I am also venturing into some non-herding breeds, with Whippets, Silky Terriers and Pomeranians.

I experienced a great deal of success with my main account (#182432) on the BETA site, where I breed Australian Cattle Dogs and Old English Sheepdogs. I bred 12 dogs from my old lines to continue with on the new site.

I wanted to experience a bit of change with the new site, so decided to experiment with Border Collies, Kelpies and Australian Koolies on my 3rd account (#182776). I am a registered Working Border Collie breeder in Australia, so they are all breeds that I hold pretty close to my heart. This kennel has fast become my main kennel and I try to keep it unlocked as much as possible.

Unfortunately my account didn't lock properly when I took a holiday recently and my dogs missed a week or so of showing. It has meant that some of my top dogs only reached 46-47 at 100 days. I guess that is the downside of using a phone to lock accounts :(

As of May 28 2014 I have unlocked all my dogs and will attempt to get back into this game fulltime. A lot has changed on the site in the last year and I am still finding my feet. Please bear with me :)

Breeding

I do not breed many litters with my dogs, I prefer quality over quantity. Once my lines are established for each breed, I will only be breeding at day 100, or 88 in extreme circumstances.

I will never knowingly in-breed or close line-breed my current dogs, although they all have some in-breeding behind them as I produced my 24HH dogs myself. The exception to this will be dogs bred in May-July 2014, my account was locked for over 12 months and the only dogs I am able to breed with are my own. Some are far enough removed or completely unrelated, others may need to be line and in-bred. It will be more likely to affect the kelpies and koolies, I have enough BCs to get by.

Puppies
If you would like to reserve a puppy from one of my breedings, send me a message and I can put that puppy up for reserve with my prefix attached. I am working on a new system for pricing, in the meantime prices will be pretty simple to calculate:

$100,000 - $25,000 for each "good" - $25,000 for each "charisma" or "strength" boost as these are useless in herding breeds. Minimum price will be $25,000.

As an example, a dog with EEEE and boosts in agi and int will be $100,000. A dog with GEEE and boosts in agi and cha will be $50,000. A dog with GGGG will be the minimum price of $25,000 (no you don't get it for free :) )

Conditions:

- All dogs in your kennel must be cared for and shown daily.
- If you decide to sell the pup I must be given first option to buy it back. I will pay at least $2000 per level. More for EEEE

Studs I won't be putting my dogs up for stud anymore unless somebody requests a breeding. Just send me a message to let me know which dog you would like to use, I very rarely say no :)

For now, price will be $1,000 x level. I am currently working on a system to determine stud price depending on colour and health genes so this may change in the future.

Other Breeds

I have 3 accounts, all of them elite. I have decided to go with different breeds on each one for a bit of variety.
