I've Got Quality Miniature Dachshunds on Furry-Paws.com
Welcome to Goodfellow Kennels!
Home of top quality miniature dachshunds.

Miniature Dachshunds

"Wiener dogs," "sausage dogs," or "hot dogs?" "Dox-und" or "dash-hound?" No matter what you want to call them, these bold little dogs make excellent companions and fierce competitors!

Miniature dachshunds come in three coat types: smooth-haired, long-haired, and wire-haired. They usually weigh between 8 to 11 pounds and come in a wide variety of colours/patterns. Miniature dachshunds were originally bred down from their larger counterparts (standard dachshunds), in order to hunt quarry living in narrow burrows.

I have had the pleasure of growing up with this breed. In my 29 years, I have been the proud owner of four of these little rascals (Zoe, Heidi, Sophie, and Phoebe). They are my favourite breed and I strive to become one of the top breeders of miniature dachshunds, here on Furry-Paws.

Our goal is to establish an excellent line of miniature dachshunds from the ground up, starting with 12 males and 12 females from the store.

Our dogs are:

  • fed, watered, groomed, and kept comfortable to keep their condition at 100% at all times.
  • primarily trained in earthdog trials.
  • entered in 50 competitions each day.
  • trained daily.
  • bred on day 110.
  • never bred below level 20.
  • bred to enhance their genetics, with the goal being 4E and 24HH.
  • are not bred for colours/patterns at this time.

Our dogs will not be available for breeding or sale at this time.

Secondary Breeds

These are the other scent hounds that Goodfellow Kennels specializes in. While it may not be to the same extent as our miniature dachshunds, we strive for the best in these breeds, on a smaller scale.

Diversifier Kennel

These are the breeds we dabble in from time to time, but are not a specialty of Goodfellow Kennels. They are kept to reach the "Diversifier Achievement."

Diversifier Breeds

  • They are usually dogs purchased from public sale.
  • They are trained in show.
  • Unlikely to be listed for breeding, but you can message me if interested.
  • These dogs will not be bred by myself, as this is not my intention for having them.
  • The goal is to get them to the highest possible level before retirement.

  • If interested in purchasing one of these dogs, please message me.
