Welcome to Amity Collies.
Amity Collies is a kennel dedicated to preservation breeding of Rough Collies. Rough Collies, also commonly known as Lassie dogs, are famed and loved for their beauty, intelligence, friendliness, desire to please, and personalities. They make great family, sport and working dogs.Amity Kennels is currently breeding towards health and perfect genotypes (24 HH lala) dogs. We are currently not selling any puppies and will not be for a few generations while we work toward this goal. Our puppies are hand-raised with daily handling and desensitization, bite inhibition work, and handling to raise successful dogs who will excel in their show. Our breeding stock is geared towards Agility, Herding, and Dock Diving, although in the future we hope to expand our variety.
Collie fun facts:
~ Collies come in 4 colors in real life: Sable (Fawn and White (Irish), Tricolor (Black and White (Irish) with Fawn Points, Blue Merle, and Color Headed White (Any of the above Colors, except instead of {irish) white pattern, it's Piebald.
~ Lassie was a female Rough Collie in the show, but her actor was a male!
