I'm an animal lover who has worked in the field of animal care and veterinary medicine for the past decade and a half. I mostly come here to relax with my virtual dog of choice - the Eurasier. I sometimes dabble into the art world with my sketches and character designs.

Cold Nose Kennels (CoNo)

Cold Nose Kennels was founded in 2005 and specialized in large-breed guardians. We started first with Maremma Shepherds, and then changed to Tibetan Mastiffs in 2014. We took a long hiatus from the dog world and came back in 2018 to produce quality American Pit Bull Terriers. It wasn't until 2024 that an overhaul happened again and we discovered our passion for the Eurasier.

Our goal is to create solid lines which offer the best of both worlds, with increased stats to improve performance, along with interesting colors. We're achieving this by breeding a mix of dogs from pre-established lines as well as our own new line of dogs. Our personal breeding program to establish our own pure CoNo lines is located at our off-site breeding facility. At Cold Nose Kennels, we strive to not breed any animals under 20HH/0hh and strive to breed no earlier than lv 30 (exceptions are made to our first rule only at our breeding facility, due to the fact it is impossible to establish new genetic lines without breeding lower quality dogs up).

Our females are bred no more than two times, as we pride ourselves in the health and maintenance of our dogs. Females will not be open to breeding requests, as they are an integral part of keeping our kennel and breeding lines alive. We do not believe in over-breeding for numbers, or inbreeding for colors or stats. We tend to stay female-heavy so that we can produce good numbers without our females suffering for it.

Males may be privately studded, but kennel checks are implemented to make sure our genetic sharing goes to kennels who meet our standards. We look for well cared for, clean and vaccinated animals. We will not accept studding requests to females who have been bred more than two times (meaning we would be the third breeding). While we cannot stop other kennels from over-breeding their females, we do have the right to refuse to be a part of it.

Puppies sold from this kennel are hand selected for quality. Pups who do not meet our breeding standards are sold to homes, or may be sold privately with the CoNo prefix to help other kennels improve their lines and genetic diversity.

Breed of choice

The Eurasier is an extremely hardy Northern breed, and deserves a lot of recognition for its success as the "perfect" family dog.

Bred specifically to be companions, these dogs are complete goofballs who are capable of melting hearts with just a smile. Calm indoors, but playful outdoors, these dogs are the best of both worlds and diverse in their abilities.

I fell in love with Eurasiers while researching dog breeds in preparation for my next dog. My current dog, an APBT mix, was aging and I knew the inevitable would eventually be upon me. I wanted to be ready with the knowledge of where to go after him, and started researching breeds that would better fit my home (I loved my shelter mutt, but he honestly was a poor fit for me energy and temperament-wise). While researching, I came across the Eurasier, and viola! I'd found my perfect dog!

Thanks to the United States Eurasier Club, I was able to get in contact with a breeder in my area (3 hours away, but the closest to my location). My application was approved in 2019, and we began the journey of getting to know each other as I waded my way to the top of their waitlist.

In autumn of 2023, I was alerted that a litter was being planned and I was up for a puppy if I was still interested. Of course I was! So our little Fizzgig came into the world on November 20th, 2023. I could not be happier with her personality - she's everything I've ever wanted (and more)! And thus, my favorite dog breed was realized, and a new obsession was born.

Those enchanting Eurasiers!
