Callendar Kennels

Thank you for visiting my page! Callendar Kennels is located on a private property in the lowlands of Scotland. I own many different breeds and compete in many different sports. My main focus lies on the Skye Terrier, of which I am establishing a line of my own at the moment - my first quality gene project. My other main breeds are the Scottish Deerhound and Scottish Terrier. The majority of my competing dogs are not kept for breeding. These dogs are mostly coming from rescues or were rescued from neglect cases and rehabilated by myself. Every now and then I'm working on small personal projects such as color breeding for hobby. In short, I don't have a single goal, but instead do a bit of everything Furry Paws' world has to offer.

Skye Terrier Breeding

Ever since I got to know about gene projects on FP, I wanted to set up a line of my own Skye Terriers. I read this amazingly helpful thread multiple times and worked out a plan before I went ahead and bred my first generation out of the twelve (mainly store-bought) Skyes I already owned. The project is still in its infancy, and I'll be likely adding a second gene project of another breed soon. Each generation and every litter bred for the project gets a theme, which will help me to keep track of all dogs and puppies in my spreadsheet.

Achievements

I love achievements, especially the Performer and Diversifier ones! I'm currently going for my bronze Performer medal and purple Diversifier ribbon.
