Ophelia Moon Rescue's Kennel

Ophelia Moon Rescue

Our mission as a rescue is to provide FP dogs of all breeds, ages and levels with homes of their own. Our dog’s well being is always our first priority. We can assure you that whether you are looking to adopt or for a safe place to relinquish your dog, OMR will do everything we can to make sure the dogs are safe, happy and have a secure place to stay.

Dogs in Our Care

All dogs relinquished to us will first be provided with all basic necessities including a food and water bowl, bed, a chew, a collar and leash, a toy and food. The dogs will be taken care of daily and should an occasion arise in which they would not be taken care of, they would be locked until the rescue was able to provide them adequate care once more. Dogs will be fed, trained and competed daily until the age of 100 days. By this point, dogs could potentially be bred to help the rescue gain extra money from selling the puppies to a pet home. Please note that dogs at the rescue will not be bred prior to the age of 100 days. If after 110 days a dog is still not adopted OMR reserves the right to retire the dog.

Adopting a Dog

All dogs available for adoption will be housed in the “Adoption” kennel. The adoption fees range from $1,000 to $10,000 and are based upon each dog’s condition, age and level. OMR puts all our dogs up for “private” sales in order for us to check a potential adopter to ensure they are a good fit for the dog they have expressed interest in. The rescue reserves the right to turn away a potential adopter in the following cases:

  • The adopter’s dogs are not well taken care of (dirty, unfed, etc.)
  • The adopter has been deemed unable to properly care for the dog (not enough kennel space, not enough money to cover the adoption fee, etc.)
  • OMR believes the dog will be in danger of ending up in another rescue again in the near future. Our goal is to give dogs lasting homes.

If a potential adopter is interested in a particular dog there are multiple different ways they can go about contacting OMR. The easiest would be to simply bid of the dog of their choice and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Another option would be to send a message to the rescue, to which we will reply, accepting or denying the adopter.

Relinquishing a Dog

Unfortunately, at times for whatever reason, a person cannot always keep a dog. In that case, rescues such as OMR provide a safe place for dogs to stay while they await homes. Inside rescues, dogs continue to receive the care they need and can continue to be trained as opposed to dropping them off at an adoption center. At OMR we accept dogs of all breeds, ages and levels free of charge. Message us letting us know the number of dogs you wish to relinquish and we will make sure we have the kennel space to accommodate them. As soon as we are ready to take your dog(s) in we will let you know and you can transfer them to our account.
