Von Starkelander German Shepherds

Welcome to Von Starkelander German Shepherds! Von Starkelander literally means "from strong lands" in German. Trust me, our dogs are strong! Our first dogs were imported from Germany. Now almost every dog we have is a descendant of our first imports. When we breed our dogs, we make sure that every detail is correct. No dog can be bred until at least level 3, and no dog can be bred with a "fair" gene or lower. This is to ensure that our pups have the best and strongest genes possible. We also thrive on training our dogs to be the absolute best. The most common sports we train our dogs in are Schutzhund, Herding, Rally-Obedience, Tracking, or just Obedience. We train our dogs using positive reinforcement methods rather than using cruel training collars to force them to do something. Our dogs love to work and thrive on making their handlers happy with their performance.
