Welcome to Fox's Den Kennels (~FDK). We have gone by many names throughout the years and hope to reestablish ourselves among the furry-paw community in the years to come!
About The Breeder
My name is Kara, but online, I tend to go by Kayy. I'm in my mid twenties and live on the East Coast of the United States. I am a single mother to a beautiful toddler who means the world to me. I love to write, read and color. I tend to vanish from time to time, due to the toddler who eats up all of this momma's time!
My Dearest Characters
Litia Nikole is my tribute to my first pregnancy, which we lost very early on. While we never got to find out if we were expecting a boy or a girl, we always felt that we were due to carry a girl, hence how Litia got her name. Litia is sweet, caring and charismatic. She is an eternal kitten who loves to spend time with her baby sister and love to explore the world. Click her tag to see her reference sheet!
Skylar Nikole is based off of our daughter, Skylar. She is Litia's baby sister and due to her love for Golden Retrievers, that is her breed. She has a 'birthmark' on her right front leg that changes as she ages, which is based on our daughter's strawberry hemangioma. Skylar is sweet, brave, daring and small. Fox's Den Kennels' Goals
Here at Fox's Den, we pride ourselves on breeding quality dogs with the expectation that our dogs will one day make the top of the charts.
What We Breed
We thrive to breed top quality German Shepherd Dogs (The Wolfpack) at the moment. We breed for 24 HH and lala, but we are also working on achieving the ideal stats all the way around.
How We Breed
We breed our girls 3 times tops. Once at level 30-35, then at day 88 and day 101. We try to keep breeding to a minimum, however, sometimes we find a perfect pair and can't wait to see the outcome of the litter ;)
Public Studding
We only stud out our males publicly, once they reach level 50+. We do take requests for certain males in the event someone wants to strike a deal for a private studding.
Wolfpack Puppy Sales
We only sell puppies if they do not meet our breeding program standards - even then, we try to avoid selling Wolfpack puppies. In the event we sell a puppy, they will come fixed with our affix, ~FDK, so we are able to keep track of where our dogs end up.
Show Dogs
Show Dogs are dogs that do not fit into our Wolfpack breeding program, but are still close to our standards and are considered "trial" dogs to see if we're going to pick up a certain breed or not. The main goal of show dogs, are to train and show them to their full potential.
Achievement Dogs
Our Achievement Pack are mostly used to achieve our Diversifier achievement, but they too are shown and trained to their full potential. All Achievement Dogs are double trained and shown daily, and will not be sold and/or retired until they no longer serve their purpose as achievement dogs.
Occasionally, we will look for studs for our achievement dogs, other times, we will stud out males who are reaching their potential quickly. This is all dependent on how they perform in competitions.
