Cookie Help
What are cookies?
Put simply, cookies are packets of information given from sites to be stored on your computer. In the case of Furry Paws, cookies contain information such as your username and password when you log in. These are stored for each page you click on to make sure that you're authorized to use the account you're on.

Why does FP require cookies?
For the security of your account, and purely that. Otherwise, it would be possible for another player to log into your account via a link, and you don't want that.

FP tells me I don't have cookies enabled when I try to log in. How do I fix that?
The way to enable cookies is basically the same from browser to browser, but for clarity, follow the instructions below based on what browser you use. Note, your parents may have turned off cookies for a reason, so you may wish to ask their permission before you allow them.

Enabling Cookies for Internet Explorer
Look at the top of the browser. Click on Tools, then Internet Options. Click on the Privacy tab in the window that pops up. If the option "Block All Cookies" is selected, drag the bar on the left down a notch until it's set to "High." This will provide you the maximum amount of security while still allowing FP to set cookies with the following steps. If your option is already set below "High", don't worry about dragging it up, unless you really want to. Any setting other than "Block All Cookies" is fine. Select the Sites... button. In the Address of Web site: text box, type in http://www.furry-paws.com, then click the Allow button. This will allow furry-paws.com to set cookies, yay. Click Okay twice to get out of the windows. Finally, type http://www.furry-paws.com into your browser address thing and log in.

Enabling Cookies for Mozilla Firefox
Look at the top of the browser. Click Tools, then Options.... In the window that pops up, select Privacy. Click on the + sign next to "Cookies". In the text that pops down, click the box next to Allow sites to set cookies until there's a green checkmark. Alternately, for more security, leave that box unchecked, click on the Exceptions button, type in http://www.furry-paws.com in the text box labeled "Address of web site:" and click the Allow button. Then type in http://furry-paws.com and click the Allow button again. Finally, click Ok twice to get out of the windows, and type in http://www.furry-paws.com in your URL thingy and log in.
